When we go to any coffeeshop or hawker centre, char siew is always an add on. It's usually Duck rice + Char Siew or Chicken Rice with Char Siew.

At Roast Paradise, Char Siew is the main star. Char Siew is roasted, the marinated with a thick glorious chinese BBQ sauce, chopped into chunks, ( no thinly sliced meat exists here ) & then served over Rice or Hakka Noodles.
Roast Paradise also serves Roast Pork ( Sio Bak ) and this is crispy and juicy at the same time! It's exterior has that golden sheen and it's texture is smooth and juicy. Served with sauce at the side if you wanna dip the meat in.
The dark glorious BBQ sauce here is thick, and clings onto the meat, making every bit so sweet and crispy, and packs an oomph. NOTE : This sauce is also quite jelat, so use it sparingly or eat with rice!

White Rice is always our favourite here in Singapore but something in their menu caught our eye! "Hakka Noodles" is a noodle type, served without the meats, and use in substitute for the rice. While it costs more than rice, but it goes quite well with the meat.
Personally, for 2pax we recommend you to try 200g Char Siew + 100g Roast Pork with 2 plates of plain rice.
Roast Paradise is so popular with its patrons, long snaking queues can be found at its outlets and with it's meats sold out around 1plus to 2pm.

Owners Randall and Kai talk about the tight spaces, "Due to the size constraints of the hawker stall, it's hard to prepare big quantities of the meat, and got no place to hang the meats."
Kai & Randall had to make a learning journey before starting out. Giving up their jobs at the integrated resort, they packed their bags and took lessons from Kai’s Uncle, who owns Famous Seremban Favourites, a popular roast shops in Kuala Lumpur (KL). They took 4 months at the shop to learn how to roast the meats in KL style.
WE TRIED IT!
Makan Kaki team tried both meats!
Notable points
1. Very thick BBQ sauce, a little goes a long way.
2. Hakka Noodles, not commonly found, but rather delicious and goes well with the meats.
3. The meat quality is very good, juicy.
4. Recommended for sharing!
5. Recommend meat per person is 150g.
MK Rating : 9.5/10
