Seafood Bee Hoon; traditional taste

Xin Long White Bee Hoon is nestled in Yishun Park Hawker Centre, sells a variety of seafood beehoon. The craze of seafood white bee hoon led to many stalls popping up over the island, but this stall have something special, check out their hot favourite below!

CHILLI CRAYFISH HORFUN

With its thick gravy, smooth horfun with fresh horfun noodles, coupled with fresh crayfish, we loved this dish. We added deep fried mantou to match too! Take note: this chilli gravy is on the spicier side with lingering spiciness.

Also serving other traditional items, such as this Prawn Cake pictured above! Served with sweet sauce and chilli sauce, this freshly made prawn cake is made daily by stall owners, with sweet crunchy bits inside & saltish egg batter on the outside, we finished this so quickly and wanted to order a 2nd plate but it was sold out! (we were there at 6pm).

"We don't keep any fresh ingredient overnight, everything must be fresh, Crayfish and prawns all prepared daily. So if sold out means no extra until tomorrow supplier deliver already." Oliver insists.

The Oyster Omelette is different from the usual, with a spicy chilli sauce stir-fried with oysters, served on an egg omelette. The Salted Egg Chicken was a instant hit among us, we couldn't stop eating it. Fried with curry leaves and chilli padi slices, the salted egg sauce was smooth and creamy, chicken bits were thoroughly coated in this delicious sauce.

We really enjoyed this dish, with its eggy goodness in every sip of the soup, with thin bee hoon soaking up all the goodness, its taste is rather traditional, similar to the ones we had when we were much younger. Try their other versions, including crayfish/crabmeat!
